From the start you will need to get the screen rights for
the movie.
both channel 4 and the author liked the scripted so they had support from main people.
Pre production:
first they needed the actors so they castes ewan mcgregor, who played Alex in shallow grave, and was the main person from the start.
They found out that a lot of the actors would be from shallow grave when they where looking through all the actors they wanted
being the second week in may, they rented a flat at the top of a Glasgow block. They didn't need all the actors for rehearsals as they only needed to film for a few days.
It is set in Edinburgh but filmed mostly in Glasgow.
They would have recces hunting so they would go around to locations that are suitable for the films scenes. They would meet up and talk about that they found at lunch. for the recces you need to know about the lighting the color , the temperature and then brief the locations manger about things they would need.
They would then check if they would whether use the locations they found or build sets. Then six weeks before production they would start to buy props.

Finance:
-
They offered them $250,000 to film whatever
project they desire
-
Not to make a film that doesn’t cost a lot of money
Pre-production normal takes for to seven week (it took train
spotting seven)
Rehearsal begin second week in May.
A days shooting shoul be 8 to 8
The shoot:
the shoot lasts for 35days.
It used to seem so terribly glamorous.
night shoot 11 at night to 7 in the moring
They would have on set breakfast so they are able to get there.
Boyal arrives 90 mins early
The job of the producer is not to be on set all the time. ("the producer shoudnlt do much during filming")

These are clear notes, but you really need the focus to be the pre-production stages so that you know them for revision.
ReplyDeleteFor revision you could go over the Trainspotting ppt again and note down the pre-production stages and what happens in each.
