BBC Films: BBC Films is committed to finding and developing
new talent, collaborating with some of the foremost writers and directors in
the industry. Applicants usually get in contact with BBC Films via an agent or
individually, as a producer.
BFI: The BFI is the lead agency for film in the UK. The BFI
Film Fund has a number of funding strands, investing over £26m of Lottery funds
per year to support film development, production and distribution activity in
the UK.
Film 4: This is channels 4s film production arm invests
£15million annually in developing and financing films.
London film: this is the strategic agency for film and media
based in London. This would also support the growth and development of; film,
TV, video, commercials and interactive media.
Creative England fund: They have a number of funds for
development and production funding. They are particularly interested in
projects from regionally- based filmmaker.
Creative Scotland: The film and television funding programme
provides support to emerging and established film and television talent capable
of creating distinctive and engaging work that promotes Scotland’s creativity.
Regional investment funds: The Yorkshire content fund is a
public – private investment fund for the TV, Film, video games and digital
sectors in Yorkshire and Humber, open to producers either based in Yorkshire or
wishing to film or establish base in the region.
UK tax relief:

Qualifying a film as British can enable
producers to access the UK’s film tax relief as well as apply to the BFI film
fund.
BFI certification:

The BFI certification unit is the first point of
contact for applicants wanting to qualify their film.

programme and video games.

For Large Cooperation Projects, partners can apply for a grant of up to €2 million (maximum of 50% of the total project budget).

What
does this funding support?
This
funding opportunity supports the delivery of cultural and creative
transnational cooperation projects across any art form for a maximum duration
of four years.
Two
categories are available under this annual funding strand:
Category 1:
Small Cooperation Projects
- You would apply as a partnership of a minimum of 3 partner organisations from 3 different eligible countries;
- You can apply for a grant of up to €200,000;
- You can apply for up to 60% of the total project budget. Match funding is required.
- You would apply as a partnership of a minimum of 6 partners from 6 different eligible countries;
- You can apply for a grant of up to €2 million;
- You can apply for up to 50% of the total project budget. Match funding is required.
For Large Cooperation Projects, partners can apply for a grant of up to €2 million (maximum of 50% of the total project budget).
Category 2:
Large Cooperation Projects
There is an
annual deadline for both categories.
Who is this
funding for?
Creative,
cultural and heritage organisations working across any art form, such as visual
arts, dance, theatre, literature, performance, music, heritage, architecture,
design, circus, festivals, craft and fashion. This includes higher education
institutions, local authorities, social enterprises, charities and companies
operating in the cultural and creative sectors.

grants are shared between partners and the partnership decides how much is
allocated to each organisation.
Match
funding is required and the partners decide how much each organisation agrees
to contribute.
